The Kirtland Garden Club (KGC) will be carpooling to the Japanese Gardens and Cultural Center of Saginaw on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.  Visitors will be given a guided tour of the picturesque gardens followed by our business meeting and then an authentic Tea Ceremony in the Tea House which was built with materials imported directly from Japan.  Afterwards, participants will travel to a local area restaurant for lunch. Guests are welcome.  There is a $10 fee for participants who are non-members of the KGC which is payable on the day of the event.

Participants will meet in the parking lot of Kronner’s Pharmacy at the corner of M-18 and M-55 at 10:15 am, then carpool to the Japanese Cultural Center located at 527 Ezra Rust Dr., Saginaw, 48601.  To sign up, call Nancy at (989) 422-6017, leaving a message if necessary.  Meetings are open to the public.

The Kirtland Garden Club meets year-round to hear speakers on gardening topics and take planned trips.  Members participate in two annual fundraisers, a perennial plant sale and garden tour.  Proceeds from the sale and tour are returned to the community in the form of scholarships and donations to selected garden-or-wildlife-related projects or organizations.  Members learn from each other and vary in experience from beginners to Master Gardeners.  If interested in learning more about this year-round club and its activities, check out www.kirtlandgardenclub.org.
