On 6-16-26, we visited the Japanese Gardens & Cultural Center with the head gardener. Then had our business meeting with Barb A leading it. In attendance were, Barb B, Steph C, RoxanneJ, Carol B, Nancy B, Diane R, Kelly M, Shari G, Deb W, Lori S, Cathy W, Patti G, Sharon A, Patty A, Theresa E, Barb A. We also had 2 guests.

Treasures report, Diane R gave the report for Lenore. $50 donation, & $214.30 disbursements. Budget approved.

Program Co. Next field trip for Aug is Missaukee Mt. in Lake City., more details to come. July 11, Plant Sale at Craft Center 9-4. July 25, Garden Tour 9-3.

Beautification Co. May need another clean up at Craft Center garden& also need clean up at Houghton Lk. Library. Emails to come with dates & details.

PR Co. working out some glitches with Facebook page. Want people to get info on our events.

Crafting Co. Craft Day at Kelly’s. Email went out about this today!

They will have their own table set up, the cashier for plants can take the $ for the craft items too. Just need to mark what was taken in for the craft items. 

Scholarship Co. it was brought up to rename the Scholarship Fund the  Michaeline Austin Memorial Scholarship Award, sponsored by KGC. Vote was Yes! 

The Celebration for Life for Michaeline is Sat July 11, 2-6 at Lakewood Banquet Hotel. 

Please remember to label your plants for the plant sale, what they are & what light they need.. shade,  part shade, sun, part sun. Ideally we would like everyone to donate 10 plants or more if you can.

Garden Tour Co. Cathie has Tickets to sell, MEMBERS ONLY, for every ticket you buy, you get one free! The tickets this year have the map & addresses in the Middle East to see where you are & where you’re going. We also have a few restaurants that have partnered with us & said if they bring their tickets in the day of the tour they will be offering them something special. Day of tour the tickets will be on sale at Craf Center & Trestle Park. Starting July 1st they will be on sale at designated stores . And also on line. We will be offering the participants one year free membership to the KGC. When they come & sign up, they will get a roster & name tag the next meeting.
