Kirtland Garden Club September 21, 2026 meeting

Went to home of Wes Alexander in Gladwin, Mi. He told us how to set up a drip irrigation system.

Told us about his gardens. Then we outside to see how it worked by his

new trees.

We walked around his flower beds.

Beautiful gardens on a bright chilly morning.

Lunch was held at The Hearth in Gladwin.

Karen Williams opened the meeting with the club prayer.

Welcomed new members.

Treasurer report give by Lenore Uphoff. Annual dues are due now.

There is $5.637.31 in our account.

Lenore reported that we never received a bill for our booth in the art

festival, therefore it may have been donated by the festival.

October 19, 2026 meeting will be to Fleming Farms for pumpkin in Gaylord area. There is an $8.00 fee for non members.

Scholarship committee was asked to look into hand delivering the scholarships next year so that a photo can be posted in newspapers and social media showing our donation work.

Cathie Ware reported the garden treasures committee of the art festival suggested when the committee meets to price things that we could be able to buy each other's treasures berore they go to the art festival for next year.

The trip to Myers Garden in Grand Rapids was discussed, more updates to follow.

Next year's annual garden tour will have only Garden Club members on the tour. Garden Tour date is August 7, 2027.
